Show your work on a billboard in Los Angeles

Deadline: 23 October 2019.

TBC invites artists, designers and photographers from all over the world to participate in the 5th International Billboard Art Fair in Los Angeles. All art disciplines are accepted - painting, photography, sculpture and mixed techniques (except video and audio). If you can create a digital file, it means it can be shown on a billboard! All authors can participate, regardless of their level of experience.

To date, the billboards of the exhibition have come to the attention of motorists more than 45 million times. Past exhibitions have been featured in publications such as Los Angeles Times, Flaunt Magazine, Huffington Post, KCRW's Art Talk, Creators Project and L'Oeil de la Photographie, to name a few.

TBC aims to help beginners and under-recognized artists overcome traditional bottlenecks in their artistic careers. Over the past six years, the organizers have helped artists access the Los Angeles art market and beyond, presenting works of art on more than 130 billboards.

This year's curator: Christopher Vroom, founder of Artadia, a not-for-profit organization that has been supporting innovative visual artists for 20 years through grants (totalling close to $7 million) and networking opportunities with art institutes, fairs and curators. Other art projects founded by Christopher include Art + Culture Projects and Artspace.com, organizations that work to raise awareness about artists, creating sustainable sources of income for both artists and programs that showcase their work. His latest initiative so far: CollectorIQ, a visual arts trading platform.

Selected artists will be given their own billboard for a month in the City of Angels!

Registration fees: $27 for the first image, $7 for each subsequent image. A maximum of 10 images can be submitted. TBC is a non-profit organization. Fees are used to finance exhibitions.

Works and payments are accepted through the safe and simple Call for Entries service.

Christopher Vroom will conduct an anonymous judging and select exhibitors after submitting applications. If your application is selected, TBC will cover all the costs of production, installation, and billboard rental.

If you are under the age of 18, you will need the permission of your parents or guardians to participate.

The organizers undertake not to use your work for any purpose other than to conduct and promote the exhibition. All rights to the images remain with you.
