For many artists START became a starting point in further art development. START is a unique - for Russia - project, which gives a chance to the beginners to show their works at debut expositions. The project is a kind of professional lift for its participants.

It is important for us to show the importance of individual artistic expression. Therefore, we focus on the implementation of the complete personal projects of young authors.

• To open new names in contemporary art and to help them to realize their potential themselves in Russian and world art community.
• To attract young Russian audience to cultural processes.
• To activate the artistic process in the regions of Russia.

Since 2009 START project graduates become the nominees and the winners of such prestigious awards as The Kandinsky Prize in “The Young Artist.The Project of the Year” and “Media Art.The project of the Year” nominations; The Innovation Prize in “The New generation” section and The Kuryokhin Prize.

After a successful START young artists participated in Moscow biennale of contemporary art, Moscow International biennale for Young Art (Stop! Who goes there?) and group exhibitions in Russia and abroad.

Many of the START works took honorable places in private collections of well-known collectors and modern art connoisseurs.

The participants of the START project open personal exhibitions around the world, produce catalogues of their works, win grants.
