2019 Landscape Photo of the Year Contest

Our World In Focus is pleased to present the contest "Best Landscape Photo of the Year". The contest started on August 1, 2019, was announced as an annual one and is dedicated to the landscapes of our planet. Participation is open to authors from all over the world, over 18 years old.

Comment of the organizers: "We are waiting for your best photos! There are cash and other prizes for more than $5500! We want to see both grand landscapes and small cozy natural scenes, landscapes and sea views, shot at any time of the day or night.

We've teamed up with great sponsors and a jury to reward your work with worthy prizes. The jury includes Jan Plant, winner of international awards for nature and landscape photography. Jan is a world-renowned professional photographer, teacher, author of many books and creator of the Shuttermonkeys platform.

Landscape photography is a matter of love and requires hard work in the field, early rises and sleepless nights, perseverance and good luck.

The participation fee is $10 per image, and every fifth photo is free!

IN JURIE:

Ian Plant. Hovering over the vent of an active volcano, overcoming elements to photograph views on the brink of extinction, or penetrating a maze that most people will never see, the world-famous professional photographer, Jan Plante, travels the world in search of beautiful places and subjects with an endless desire to capture the beauty of our world on his camera.

Jan is looking for hidden sides in an already familiar one, using long exposure, unique light, unusual perspectives and special natural phenomena to show his subjects in a new way. Known for his inspiring images and dedication to photography, Jan has attracted hundreds of thousands of people with his mission to inspire and teach photography. He often works with many leading photo magazines, has authored numerous books and videos, and is a co-founder of Shuttermonkeys, a photography and inspiration website.

RULES:

Images can be sent from August 1 to October 31, 2019. OWIF may change the submission period at its discretion.

Images submitted to the contest must be about the landscape. Landscape is broadly defined as an image of the open air, including land and/or water, taken at any time of the day or night. An image may contain human-made objects and/or people, but nature should be the primary focus of the image.

Prizes from LensProToGo are only available to residents of the United States.

Late entries are not accepted. Late entries are those sent after the deadline.

The competition is open to participants over 18 years of age.

The images submitted must be your own works.

Images must be of photographic origin, i.e. they must be taken with a camera (DSLR, ILC, mobile phone, etc.).

There are no limitations on the age of images.

Post-processing is allowed.

HDR images are allowed.

Composite images with large elements added or removed that are not present in the original are not accepted.

Minor objects can be removed, such as debris, sheet, sign, etc. - if it does not affect and does not affect the basic elements of the photo. Changing the sky is not permitted.

Colour, contrast, trimming, removal of dust or small defects, vignetting and similar small corrections are permitted.

If your work wins, you may be asked to provide an original RAW file.

Panoramas, blending, focus stacking and similar processing methods are allowed.

Image format:

Please send .jpg files.

Image size on the larger side of 1600px.

Images must be no larger than 2mb.

Do not place watermarks on your images.
