Open discussion “Personal mythology as a strategy in contemporary art” will be held November 9, 2017 at 19:30 at Vintage hall of the SRC WINZAVOD.  Participants will discuss the exhibition frontiers of the Centuries of ‘giving birth to monsters”, the device and the origins of the world invented by the artist, will answer the question of the uniqueness of her narrative, as well as talk about personal mythology as strategy in contemporary art.

Faith Trachtenberg, curator of the project start of the season 2017/2018 G.: “the Creation of a personal mythology has always been a special and almost win-win strategy in contemporary art. Young artists often working in a space fantasy world. This way, they can gain independence from the artistic traditions and current context. Success in this direction will definitely  have made Evgeny Antufiev and Tanya Panicker, the first personal exhibition which took place at the site of the LAUNCH.  today this area is developing? What are the media used by the artists to create personal mythology? How outdated forms, such as DPI, kollazhirovaniya graphics and scenes look like dolls? We'll discuss this in the context of the exhibition frontiers of the Centuries of ‘giving birth to monsters””.
