The exhibition "Orchestras" of the project participants START group u/n multitude

the Exhibition will be held at the 24.11.2016 14.12.2016 in the State gallery on Solyanka. The exhibition is held in conjunction with the gallery pop/off/art.

u/n multitude — a community of artists and music historians whose practice is inextricably linked to the performative, public activities. The authors themselves call their work “political scores”. Music is understood as an opportunity for reflection on socio-historical and economic contexts. By the method of ‘political scores” means a sequence of actions, linking artist, artwork and political context of the era in a single statement. In the group's history the first such works were ‘Donkey mass” o event 1 Dec 1962, when Nikita Khrushchev in sharp sayings defeated the works of the participants of the exhibition of the avant-garde in the Arena, “a brief history of denunciations”, dedicated to the loudest denunciations in Russia. In the period from 2014 to 2016, the group consisted of members: Nikita Spiridonov, the city of Lena, Ilya Fomin, Igor, Injustice, Sonya Rumyantseva etc.

the Exhibition u/n multitude “Bands” will present the group's activities over the past few years, new cycles, combining lectures, performances, research and works that reflect on the economic problem of the credit and its relationship with human living his own time. The basis of the exhibition at the Solyanka will be u/n multitude of communities, for whom music is an important factor for enterprises — the study of orchestras, the project for the Moscow Biennale and the “Moscow products" shown in the Museum of Moscow. For u/n multitude of the orchestra is a metaphor for social life and its organization in a modernist industrial society. Today, however other forms can come to “debris” disciplinary orchestra — that street musicians, and temporary stalls, and a modern music application like Autorap, and various music videos on Youtube. This exhibition will give a General overview of the activities of the group and tell about their interactions with different local communities and microcultures.
