Artist Start exhibition "Shape the invisible"

Artist of the start of the 2014/2015 season, Ilya Grishaev takes part in a joint exhibition of the contemporary art Center WINZAVOD Museum for contemporary art PERMM “invisible”.
the Exhibition “invisible” – exploring the artistic landscape of the city of Perm. Is there a new Perm Perm special identity and style? Each of the participants of the exhibition answers this question, telling her story.
All seventeen artists of the exhibition were born and raised in Perm. Subsequently, many of them left in the world: from St. Petersburg to Berlin. Today they have a completely different reality, but they continue to carry the share of the Perm identity. Turning to local traditions and at the same time being in the present, each of the participants of the project “invisible” feels the pulse format and the vector Perm identity.
here, the Narrative of the exhibition is conceived as a walk through the land of Perm, where the idyllic scenery of fields and lakes are juxtaposed with the ruined concrete structures and abandoned rusty equipment. The artist, taking your observation post, it becomes a powerful reflection of reality.
Mirrored “eyes” Peter Starovskogo in which the spectator sees his own face, or birdhouses Glory Nesterov, inside which live almost urusovskii characters demonstrate different techniques of observation: the landscape, the audience, for himself. The temple ritual of the Komi-Permyak performed by Dima Zhukov, the theme of the fiery totem Alex Elevata negate the present, the cast to ten centuries ago – at the time of the existence of tribal state Perm the Great. Video tattooed children Anastasia Ulanova or animation with animated clips Elena Kobzeva immerse us into the world of archetypal fears and forebodings, dozens of mouths, incessantly repeating the mantra ‘I am afraid" Inga Lugovoi materialize the subconscious – combining horror. But this anguish is not devoid of lyricism.
Sofia Trotsenko, President of Foundation for support of contemporary art WINZAVOD: “Exhibition of the Perm modern art in Moscow – it is important to all of us event. After all, a Perm today – one of those cities where there are powerful dynamics of the artistic process, including the emergence of the city's Museum of modern art PERMM. Us as the Foundation for support of contemporary art it is important to articulate the processes that take place in other cities of Russia, and it's great that the collaboration with the Museum PERMM resulted resulted in the greatest exhibition of the Perm artists new wave». Naila Allahverdiyev, art Director of the Museum PERMM: «Exhibition “invisible” – a major step in representing the Perm contemporary art. Two years ago in PERMM, we have launched a program for the promotion and popularization of the Perm modern art and the exhibition in Moscow – a very important stage. The task we set ourselves, a little more than shows of works by artists. We want to show the appearance of a new Perm code that is generated now and are not constrained by geographic and biographical framework. As in any experimental process, the result is difficult to predict, but the process in which we are all involved, very reminiscent of the work of the gardener in the greenhouse, growing tender and exotic flowers”.
Peter White, curator of the exhibition: “the Status of the artist in the province has special value today. We are all tired of the situation of globalization, the biennial format, and here to help can come from local history more commensurate with the person. Although a group show – it is always difficult identifiable phenomenon, the result is unpredictable: the collective statement is contrary to the individualistic nature of creativity. However, at successful coincidence of circumstances, group project repeatedly multiplies the force of statements, allowing to talk about the phenomenon, not a single nugget, arrived in the capital”.
