Members of the Start group u/n multitude will present a performance at the festival “DADA” in the NCCA

on 17 June at 19:00 at the festival “DADA”, the NCCA will be a performance of the group u/n multitude “Obscene music”. According to the artists, creating works was inspired by the concept of “meblirovany music "Erik Satie:" ...formulated in the 10-ies of the last century and misunderstood by his contemporaries, the idea of Sati was popular much later, in the transition from the Fordist to the postfordist society. In the context of lounge aesthetics “meblirovana music” was granted the status of music-the places - the background music in shops, elevators, hallways, hotels, airports. But the greatest development of “meblirovana music" got in the porn industry, when producers asked the composers to compose soundtracks stressed uninteresting music, so as not to distract the audience from what is happening on the screen. And if the reference of active listening remains a concert hall, Opera house or a private apartment, the field of passive hearing over half a century constitutes the figure of the flaneur beniaminovich: being an integral part of the urban landscape of the music of shopping malls and subway escalators, like " Involuntary sculpture" Brassai is a dry residue, the traces of human relations in the urban environment, where interpassivity, the imaginary involvement of music in our everyday existence discovers her hidden political potential”.
