Center for Contemporary Art WINERY has decided to nominate curatorial project of Ivan Isaev «Leaving Tomorrow. The project LAUNCH. The summary of the 2014/15" at the all-Russian competition in contemporary visual art INNOVATION in the category ’s Curatorial project".

the exhibition ’s Leaving Tomorrow":

“the Source of the exhibition "Leaving Tomorrow" ("leaving tomorrow") was the realization that in today's society is quite common was fear of the future in light of technological disasters and global environmental situation idealized perception of progress has been discredited; the political and power conflicts that flare up in completely different parts of the world, from Hong Kong and Egypt to Brazil and Ukraine, does not allow you to feel secure people in most States; economic crises and accelerating the spread of precarity as the main part of forms of employment doing the perception of one's own existence more precarious and insecure. In the world there is an understanding that even the current level of public welfare in the future will get worse, and this awareness stimulates the desire to avoid the future, to leave him, to turn back time or halt it, stuck indefinitely prolonging the present; to make somehow “the outcome of tomorrow". Global utopian ideas and aspirations give way to private strategies of survival in conditions of permanent crisis or "emergency".

Project “Leaving Tomorrow" aims at creating a place in which there is the understanding of the contemporary situation and presenting alternative strategies of existence in a world where the future becomes not just unwanted, but unwarranted. The structure of the exhibition is based on the "filters" that influence our view of “tomorrow” and which are perceived through the work of artists. Each filter is associated with certain issues: environmental, political/militaristic, economic, and filter of sexuality. These filters have to work the mutual influence of work not only respond to these problems, but inevitably refracted through them. Reinforced each other in the exhibition space, they create a zone in which the project works in a different way, a kind of map of the mutations and conversions»,– says the curator of the Project start of the season 2014/15  Ivan Isaev.
