«Political scores», u/n multitude

START project’s new exhibition «political scores» presents four videos u/n multitude art group performances.

The exhibition visitors could see performances that u/n multitude staged in 2014. Exhibition curator Ivan Isaev guided a tour telling people about history of each performance and about photos that complement the exhibition.

One of the «scores" named "Cook against Webern" based on the story of the tragic death of Austrian composer mistakenly shot by US Army cook soon after the end of World War II. "A Brief History of denunciations" performance based on texts of real denunciations taken from the archives of the tsar’s, Soviet and modern Russian security services. In "Music prisons» u / n multitude members read out "House Rules of Life" in Dmitrovlage - the largest division of the Gulag. The fourth "score" is referred to the famous speech of Khrushchev. This speech was dedicated to the avant-garde artists in 1962. Absurd sound quotes repeated in performance sound ironically in the context of the exhibition.
