"The artist from Voronezh Ivan Gorshkov in the framework of his exhibition at the site of the START will present a series of works devoted to the plastic reflection of street parkour. One of the Central places in the artist's work is the analysis of ideas about the movement. But if futurist movement was associated with progress and new technical devices, in the case of Gorshkov it is understood critically as a deformed image of the human body, trying to reclaim urban space," says the exhibition curator of the project START Arseniy Zhilyaev. Parkour – the art of rapid movement in an urban environment full of obstacles. The sculptural figures of the group are the new heroes of the streets that come into intense physical interaction with the environment. Almost simultaneously with their epic heroism the viewer sees the fragility of bodies, sprawling form, broken geometry and the breach of all limits of anthropomorphism. The result is a plastic, creating a sense of movement, conflict and overcome.
