At the first personal exhibition of the Voronezh artist Ivan Gorshkov «Parkour» there will be presented the sculptures in a human height made of iron and also the graphic works united by the common theme of the overcoming of space, of the movement and body plastics.
«The artist from Voronezh Ivan Gorshkov in the framework of his exhibition on the START’s site will present a series of works devoted to the plastic reflection of a street parkour. One of the Central places in the artist’s work is the analysis of ideas about the movement. But if futurists associated the movement with the progress and new technical devices, i Gorshkov sees it critically as a deformed image of the human body, trying to reclaim its iturban space,» says the exhibition curator of the project START Arseniy Zhilyaev.

Parkour — the art of a rapid movement in the urban environment full of obstacles. The sculptural figures of the group are the new streets’ heroes coming into the intense physic cal interaction with the environment. Almost simultaneously with their epic heroism the viewer sees the fragility of their bodies, the sprawling forms, the broken geometry and the breach of all anthropomorphic limits . As a resutl it is the plastics which transmits a sense of movement and overcoming of the conflict.
