The concept of the project
The series of works "Presence" studies the nonexistent instruction to recognition of oneself as an existent personality in a new world.

How acceptable and appropriate is it to impose human concepts of morals and ethics onto an entity that is anything but human?
A new social entity, shaped in the virtual space, incapable of the inverbal, is only alive in the cold light of the silver screen. However, the real and the virtual are no longer in the juxtaposition.
The ambiguity of the word LIVE, repeatedly written on the canvas, presents at the same time a call for existence and a notification: online right here and right now.
A reference to a poem by Ch. Bernstein "My/My/My". The outdated medium (failed polaroids and corrupted film) are moved onto the canvas. The text placed on top of them is a metaphor for the indelible electronic trace of our virtual vital activity.
The traditional medum undergoes change: an alternative to it was found. The text, placed on the canvas in its digital equivalent (a scanned image of the blank canvas) "backed up" by acrylic, is a quote to Marshall McLuhan's "The medum is the message"
The exhibition gifts the viewer with a unique possibility of existence (or dooms them to be present) using the never-ending online broadcast on Instagram.
