CMU is an experiment in which the artist and the viewer are placed in the IVR system. The performance based on the interaction between the viewer and the artist is played out during the call of the viewer to the IVR telephone answering machine.
The basis of the project is the program IVR. Viewer can call to a certain number and follow the virtual route of the exhibition-performance, from where with certain branches he can connect directly to the artist or other participants.
The project must form a new non-physical space of contact between the viewer and the artists, where the viewer can "leave the room" at any time, without the violence of phisical presence
IVR is a program used in the call center for optimal interaction between the client and the company. Telecom technologies are interesting in that they simultaneously provide anonymity and presence effect.
