The works are united by the idea of imprint - presence or intervention, touch or damage, inscribed in the surface, that become document of history. By fixing these unprojected phenomena I study the life of communities and try to decipher the context.
Paradox and singularity of Vladivostok are due to its contrast – distant and proximate, stunning views and surrounding chaos. Postcard view of the bridge opens from the usual garage and recalls the city of San Francisco,located just across the ocean.
The end of the asphalt-is a nickname of a place on Russky isl., where the new road ends abruptly. Two series of images were taken there in same places with a year gap: the spectacle of dust monochrome is replaced by satisfyingly banal views of green.
I fix found compositions, formed by repetition of one gesture – stubbing out a cigarette against a wall. This work focuses on undesirable manifestations of a context in order to comprehend them as organic, and at the same time gently subversive.
This work is part of Soot series(3). It mesures more than 47m long – the photograph reproduces in scale 1 a fence in front of the airport building with marks of stubbed out cigarettes. It can be shown in a fragment, depending on the exhibition space.
While the musicians of the metro are absent, one can notice their presence – the instruments mark the floor. These invisible drawings - resembling sky maps or old military maps – are a form of recording, a result of a multitude of touches.

The mage and the text were taken from a web announcemennt of sale of recycled bricks in Kaliningrad. Utilitarian photo becomes an involuntary paysage and with the title* precisely defines the territory where everything is still reminiscent of war.

The temple perished.The building became a workshop.The workshop burned.The space was turned into a storage. In its walls one can read strata of brutal transformation. Their juxtaposition and nakedness make the place much more meaningful and mystical.
