Data transfer rate in this century just strikes and does not cease to amaze. Traffic information, in which each of us draws words, syntax, images is so fast that if we do not try to create a replacement, then loan is inevitable. Being armed with the actual gadget, we always need to open the new caches of knowledge. These acts are natural, the same way as the desire of a human being to communicate and to be understood. This kind of loan is equal to theft. Then what is the origin of this constant stream of meaning?

The form of the «hole» through which we can get new information is investigated by the artist Natalia Kuchumova in this project. The adventure of writing as a work of art is witnessing the endless process of theft that began in ancient times. The example of this is the first writing system. Applying cuneal symbols on clay tablets, the human being thereby defraud the ability to execute the idea. Thus was the first theft. The written speech was originally stolen. It becomes the property of a group of people or a document of the whole era.

«The time is perceived as the history by the human being and the history is perceived only through the text. The human being trusts the text set out in the list, and thus he can once again feel the time: he had the time and he will have time. The human being set a rectangular sheet of paper with the text as a time source, as his memory, »- the author of the project says.

Abstract figures that fill the room were created by the artist on the basis of investigation of the form of text transmission historical changes. Images and objects represent the archaic inviolability, closeness «on yourself.» The figures on the floor and the wall tend to the primitive great form. Multiple layered writing forms the black «hole», losing the text function, but instead becomes a pure form.

The shape of the «hole» through which you can get new information is examined in the project by Natalia Kuchumova . The adventure of the writing as a work of art, the artist is a witness at the endless trial of theft since the ancient times.
