Applications for Moscow City Awards in the field of contemporary art are accepted
Deadline: 31 December 2019. Participation is free of charge.
"The Moscow Art Prize is awarded in five categories: Fine Arts, Theatre, Cinema, Literature and Music.
The prize fund in each nomination will amount to 6 million rubles. The winner receives 3 million rubles for the first place, 2 million rubles for the second place and 1 million rubles for the third.
A grand prize of RUB 3 million was also established in the contest.
Projects and works for the period 2017-2019, created or implemented in Moscow, or commissioned by Moscow cultural institutions, or thematically and thematically related to Moscow, are eligible for consideration.
The applicant must be an adult citizen of the Russian Federation or any other country and may submit an unlimited number of projects for the award, filling in an individual application form.
The winners will be determined by an expert council.
It includes Vasily Tsereteli, Director of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA), Olga Sviblova, Director of the Multimedia Art Museum (MAMM), and Ivan Demidov, Director of the Zaryadye Park, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Theatre Union Dmitry Mozgovoi, theatre critic Roman Dolzhansky, film producer Natalia Mokritskaya, urbanist Pyotr Kudryavtsev, writer Dmitry Danilov, music critic and composer Peter Pospelov and others.
The award is organized by the Foundation for the Development of Contemporary Art (FRSI, https://frsi-fond.ru/) with the support of the Department of Culture of Moscow.
